DRIED MALATYA APRICOTS
Organically cultivated in our own farms on the shores of the Euphrates River which has given the Malatya apricots their delicious and distinctive taste thanks to the fertile soil of the province nourished from the lush Euphrates
Types of dried apricots:
1- Natural Unsulfured Sun-dried Apricots : Manufactured in family-run orchards in Malatya Turkey still devoted to traditional methods without using sulfur in the process.
Natural Unsulfured Apricots differ from sulfured apricots in color and taste. The color of this type changes from light brown to dark brown because the apricots are directly dried under the sunlight without being treated with sulfur. It tastes sweeter than the sulfured

2- Sulphured Dried Apricots: Apricots are treated with sulphur in order to provide colour retention and longer shelf life. The colour of this type changes from light yellow to orange.

Sizes of dried apricots
Dried apricots are graded by size according to their diameter and count per kilo. Blending small fruit with a portion of large fruit is not acceptable due to the total lack of uniformity and poor appearance which is the end result. Therefore, particular attention must be paid to grading as per dimension as well as count. The fruit is measured across the shortest diameter in its natural shape. The fruit should be generally uniform in size. Not more than 10% (by weight) of the fruit may be off-size.
The count and size specifications are as follows:
